Sunday 31st July 2011
2:00pm - 5:00pm

We are delighted to welcome TWO for the first time to the Elm Gallery. We know that you are going to love their music!
Helen Turner and Sharon Winfield both sing, play guitar and write songs. They formed their partnership in 2006 after discovering a shared love of acoustic music. Based in York, TWO perform regularly at venues around the city and at local folk festivals.
Sharon and Helen achieve some superb effects with their voices and instruments, a sound which is both rich and sensual.
"Two sing well, play well and write quality songs... they are one of the undiscovered gems of the contemporary acoustic scene. I urge you to check them out soon!" Clive Gregson
Their different song writing styles have enabled them to develop a modern approach to folk and acoustic music. With two albums out so far, TWO are a duo to look out for in the future!

Sharon and Helen are full of energy and commitment for their music, and have gained a reputation for quality performances and a strong stage presence, with banter that you could only get from two women! We are thrilled that they will be performing at the gallery and we are really looking forward to meeting them and hearing their music.
You can read more about the girls on their website www.twomusic.co.uk and see more video clips.
Then come and watch them live at the Elm Gallery!
As usual this is a free event and refreshments will be on sale.
Please come and bring your friends!
